Corporate social responsibility
Meloche Group has implemented a health, safety and environment committee which brings together staff members and management personnel. The committee’s mission is to coordinate and bring forward concrete actions to help reduce the company’s ecological footprint.
For that purpose, committee members strive to:
- Implement a 3 R approach for its waste, Recycle, Reduce, Reuse;
- Find innovative ways of reducing the company’s energy consumption;
- Preserve water quality and reduce water consumption;
- Issue recommendations to management within the framework of the various company activities (purchasing, internal policies, production technologies, market development, etc.);
- Raise awareness and responsibility in employees, partners and suppliers to ensure the implementation of environmental factors that are inherently important to the performance of their daily jobs.
The company also supports various school institutions and causes that directly affect employees:
- Bosco Camp;
- “Noir et Or” college football team;
- Collège de Valleyfield;
- Association du hockey mineur de Valleyfield.
Management’s objective is to receive the ISO 14 000 Certification.
Health, Safety and Environment Policy (HSE)
Eliminate all potential causes of accidents and ensure a healthy and safe occupational environment for workers. Implement concrete actions to reduce the company’s ecological footprint. The responsibility for implementing the health, safety and environment policy falls upon everyone from management to staff members.
